About us
We are committed to the alleviation of poverty through the empowerment of people.
To achieve a move from Dependence to Independence the first priority is to deal with the basic causes of poverty: poor health and no income. Without these foundations individuals and communities tend to remain in poverty, with continual support from international funding. Independence is achieved by providing environmentally friendly sanitation units and water facilities (good health), as well as locally sustainable livelihoods (income).
With good health and an income, the cycle of poverty endemic in the developing world can be stopped. We have already proven that with these in place people are empowered to take control of their own lives rather than depend on others.
We pledge to use donations wisely and efficiently, and in a manner that is positively beneficial to the planet and its inhabitants.
